February 2014

These photographs have been submitted by Jeanette Rawek. She says

“The hellebore Cinnamon Snow one year after 1st picture was submitted. I can see where these could become addictive as they seem to be able to take a walloping.

The hellebores Pink Frost and Spring Party were also purchased at Qualicum’s Seedy Saturday and were only in the ground 24 hours before our last big freeze up. They were flattened and then “came back”.

The cyclamen was purchased on our field trip to Fraser Thimble and I had to surround it with staples so that the birds did not peck it to death.

And the fruit tree, well I noticed that the buds were beginning to swell. Is this what they call self pruning?”
