January 16 Meeeting

The Ladysmith Saltair Garden Club will meet on Thursday, January, 16th
Time: Doors open 6:30pm. Meeting begins at 7pm.
Where: Lower Meeting Room G18 at the Ladysmith Community Health Centre,
1111 4th Ave, Ladysmith.
Enter through the main doors and use either the stairs or fully accessible elevator.

We welcome our speaker, Maggie Pimlott. Our very knowledgable club member, Rose McCulley will introduce Maggie and her husband Bruce.
Maggie has been a horticulturalist and an arborist for over 35 years. Just recently, Maggie and Bruce were inspired by Rose McCulley and became involved with Mason Bees. Bruce, builds all the houses and custom cuts the tubes for the houses.
***There will be some equipment brought for sale at the break.
Between them, Maggie and Bruce have a wealth of knowledge about native pollinators in B. C.
They are ready and willing to answer questions that anyone may have on “How to make your gardens more attractive to bees.”🐝🐜

Refreshments of tea and decaf coffee will be provided at the break. Please Lug a Mug from home.☕️. Thank you to John and Susan for providing the “goodies.”

Following the break there will be a Business Meeting

📇Membership Files and Fees; Currently there are many contributing members who have not yet paid their fees for Sept.2019-Aug.2020. There is a good chance that our previous practice of using a calendar year for membership has resulted in some confusion. The change to the Sept- August year took place in September 2017.
If you are just returning or might have forgotten your status, please check in at our membership desk to confirm.
